Dear colleagues!
We invite you to take part in the International scientific and practical conference «The role of groundwater in sustainable development of arid regions» dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Akhmedsafin Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geosciences.
The Institute of Hydrogeology and Hydrophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR was organized in 1965. In 2007, the Institute was renamed the Akhmedsafin Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geosciences, and since 2016 it has become part of the NJSC “Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev”.

PUBLICATION OF MATERIALS
The collection of abstracts/reports will be published by the beginning of the Conference. Abstracts of reports accepted for publication are published in the author’s version. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that do not correspond to the topic, as well as in case of violation of the deadlines for submission of materials or design requirements.
Acceptance of Applications and abstracts for participation includes filling out and sending a registration form indicating the full name, academic degree, academic rank, position, place of work, contact information (e-mail address, mobile phone) of the speaker, topic of the report, direction, as well as short abstracts (up to 300 words) to the e-mail address сonference.igg@gmail.com, no later than the 1st of August 2025.
Participation in the conference is free, the organizing committee reserves the right to select reports when forming the Scientific and Technical Program (hereinafter referred to as the Program) and the Collection of Abstracts of Reports. The conference participants are the authors-speakers whose reports are included in the conference program. Meals, accommodation and travel are paid for by the participants themselves.

DESIGN AND PRESENTATION OF REPORT ABSTRACTS:
Abstracts of reports of no more than 5 pages are prepared in the Word text editor, A4 format, Times New Roman font, 12 font size, single line spacing. Margins: top, bottom, right – 2 cm, left – 2.5 cm, paragraph indent – 1.25 (aligned by width, portrait orientation, without page numbers). The title of the report is typed in capital letters (Times New Roman font, bold, 12 pt), centered, without footnote references.
Materials must include the following elements:
– title of the scientific report (in capital letters);
– full name of the author(s), academic title, place of work/study, address of the organization;
– abstract, keywords reflecting the terminological area of the report (up to 10 words);
– abstract text.
Annotation in English are typed with a double-spaced indent. Then the text is typed with a single-spaced indent. Illustrations are inserted into the text as they appear, as well as in a separate file in graphic format.
